In this next instalment of the Ultimate Guide to Validation series, we look more closely at the requirements for validation contained in Standard 1.3 of the Outcome Standards.
It’s here that RTOs are told they must implement quality assurance to ensure their “assessment system is fit-for-purpose and consistent with the training product.”
In this session, we’ll unpack the requirements of Standard 1.3 with a view to identifying the types of activities RTOs can undertake, including ways an RTO can evidence meeting the required outcomes.
We’ll discuss the role of industry engagement, subject matter expert (SME) input, and trialling in ensuring a fit-for-purpose assessment system, before seeing examples of how to conduct components of pre-use validation activities.
